Dolores Introduces Chicken Chili

East Los Angeles-- For over 50 years, Dolores Chili, often referred to as LA’s Favorite Chili (www.lasfavoritechili.com), has been stealing the show across Southern California.

The famous 20-ounce Chili Bricks made of all-beef chlii, completely spiced and ready to thaw and serve, are often to blame for a delicious scent filling the air near restaurants, fast food chains, hot dog and hamburger stands and chili cook-offs in So Cal and beyond.

And for the first time since the Chili Brick’s birth in 1973, Dolores Canning Co. has a new brick to brag about. A 100 percent Chicken Chili Brick.

It’s a mix of chicken with a touch of Dolores’ family recipes and spices, which have made its original all-beef Chili famous.

“Our new Chicken Chili Brick is an alternative to beef for those who prefer chicken and it maintains a healthy balance,” said David Munoz, Plant Manager of Dolores Canning. “Low sodium, low cholesterol and no MSG.”

The 20-ounce, original all-beef Chili Bricks are currently sold in major grocery store chains such as Albertson’s, Food 4 Less, Ralphs and Smart & Final.

And soon, the Chili Bricks may have a shelf mate. David and his cousin, Bert Munoz, Dolores’ Sales Manager will introduce the Dolores Chicken Chili Brick within the next few weeks. hey plan to market the chicken chili to the same grocery chains as well as to local restaurants and will sell it in the same 20-ounce and 5 pound sizes as the Original Beef Chili Brick.

Eventually they hope the chicken chili recipe will yield the same success the original Chili Brick. Munoz says in a single week he receives scores of calls and emails from various distributors, grocery stores and individuals nationwide requesting Dolores Chili. Currently these requests are filled by the company's online store (https://dolorescanning.com/catalog/) where Chili fans across the nation can order and have shipped the famous Dolores Chili Brick. The Chicken Chili Brick will be available online also.

Dolores Chili Brick is sold in major chain stores across Southern California such as Food 4 Less and Smart & Final in the frozen meat section. Restaurants such as Philippe the Original feature Dolores Chili on their menu as well as various hot dog and hamburger stands throughout L.A. and surrounding counties.
